Client Update v3.07 and Steam
Introduction
MICA has officially confirmed that EN will be receiving a Steam client. While they have not released all details, it will likely come alongside the previously announced client update, which will likely be client v3.07.
Client v3.07 itself is a fairly minor QoL update, while the Steam client is a port of the existing mobile client. Note that the Steam client is not an offline client and there is currently no indication that MICA will create an offline client. Any comments that suggest otherwise on social media are misinformation.
Client v3.07
Again, this is a fairly minor client update with some new QoL features.
Special Combat Assistance (Mission Skips)
Clearing 1-6 will unlock the ability to skip other parts of the main chapters for a cost. There are three tiers to this, each intended to let you to quickly unlock certain gameplay features:
- Equipment & Fairies: costs 0 gems; clears up to 6-6, 5-4E, and 3-4N
- Coalitions & HOCs: costs 280 gems; clears up to 8-6, 7-4E, and 5-4N
- Gray Zone & Mobile Armor: costs 500 gems; clears up to 11-6, 10-4E, and 8-4N
Note that skipping the mission will grant the bronze, silver, and gold medals from the map. The first tier is an easy source of gems for new players since it is free, though new players should obviously still consider playing the skipped maps normally for both the story and learning experience.
Also note that as a result of this change, the ability to enhance and calibrate equipment is now locked behind being commander level 12+.

UI Improvements
“Claim All” Button for Point Events

Filter and Search functions for Selector Tickets & Adjutants

Tab to view Friend Requests you’ve sent

Collab Enemy Index
Note that everything is unlocked, even if you have never played the respective collabs. These also do not count towards your enemy index completion.

Miscellaneous
Bug Fix for Surecrit Skills
In short, they changed how surecrit skills were implemented internally. This bug only affected Hecate from the Arena Breakout collab and made her surecrit skill useless, as she did not scale with crit damage. This is now fixed and she will benefit from her surecrit skill (not that it makes her any good…)
Targeting tiebreaker changes. Again.
The previous client (v3.06) introduced jank where targeting tiebreakers depended on the number of enemies in range. This has been removed and enemies will now consistently prioritize the rightmost slots in your echelon.
Steam Client
Overall, playing on the Steam client is quite smooth, unlike emulators which can be hit or miss as far as performance goes. Again, the Steam client is not an offline version and will share progress with the mobile version. It is also almost identical to the existing mobile client, though there are some minor changes, new features, and other notable items. Future updates will expand on these further, such as by adding a “desktop buddy” feature with doll chibis.
Standalone Client
Note that if you can’t use Steam for whatever reason (ex: region locks), it is relatively relatively easy to turn the Steam client into a standalone one, though payments will not work and you will need to redo the process after any true client update (not regular patches or maintenance).
Someone will just need to download the Steam client, put a cracked steam_api64.dll into “GIRLS' FRONTLINE EN\GirlsFrontLine_Data\Plugins”, and share the client with you. Note that if you are doing this yourself, you should be careful about downloading random .dll files from the Internet.
Here is a link to a standalone client that we made using the process above.
GFAlarm
EN's Steam client is not quite the same as CN's Steam client. GFAlarm will work on EN as long as you set up the proxy correctly on your PC.
On Windows, you can just go to Settings -> Network & Internet -> Proxy -> Manual proxy setup:

Most of these are the same achievements as the mobile client, though there are some new Steam-exclusive ones for clearing each main story chapter or permanent main story campaign.

Additionally, there is one Steam achievement for clearing each main story chapter or permanent main story campaign (i.e., excluding seasonals and mini-events that are not plot-relevant). For brevity, these are not listed here.
As of November 18th, 2025, the new achievements for clearing each main story chapter or permanent main event are NOT obtainable on EN. Although they appear in the achievements list on Steam, the necessary data is not loaded in the GFL client itself.
Keybinds
Since kiting on the Steam client will obviously be different from the mobile client, MICA has added a couple of keybinds to help:
- 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 to activate doll skills manually
- Esc to pause
- E to withdraw dolls
- ` (backtick; next to 1 on standard keyboards) to toggle autoskill
Unfortunately, these are not customizable, and there are also no keybinds outside of combat. Use other programs at your own risk - it is unlikely that MICA will ban you for them, but it is certainly possible.

Weekly Screenshot for Gems
Instead of sharing to social media every week for 30 gems, the Steam client wants you to take a screenshot. Note that you need to use the same share buttons as in the mobile client, instead of simply pressing Print Screen.
