ICD: CD:
[Passive]: Has a 15% chance to trigger Rage when attacking. While Rage is active, every hit will deal an extra hit of ($all_value)% additional damage for 3 seconds. [Active]: On skill activation, begins monitoring all enemy units. When attacking a monitored unit, increases damage, accuracy and critical hit rate by ($all_value)%, if being attacked by a monitored unit, increases own evasion by ($all_value)% as well. Monitoring lasts 6 seconds. While monitoring is active, gains +5 stacks of Overload for every 2 seconds monitoring is active. Additionally, grants +1 stack of Overload for each monitored enemy unit. Upon reaching ($overload) stacks of Overload, Clears all current Overload stacks and ends active skills effect while reducing own rate of fire and accuracy by 20% for 5 seconds. This debuff can coexist with Monitoring, however skill cannot be reactivated while debuff is present.
ICD: CD:
When she monitors more than 5 targets or loses a Dummy-link, she becomes immune to all damage for 2 seconds and retaliates against the enemy unit with the highest damage stat, dealing ($dam_value1)x guaranteed damage that scales with Dummy-Links and ignores shields and armour. Retaliation damage is doubled when Rage is active. When only DEFY members are present on the battlefield, activating Eye of the White Mastiff will cause her to taunt enemy units and reduces incoming damage taken by ($dam_value2)% for ($duration) seconds.
AK-15's skill description might be the length of a modern Yu-Gi-Oh card, but it's pretty simple in practice.
Due to the stack count mechanic, AK-15 has optimal performance when there are only 1-2 groups of enemies or when the battle ends before she can [Overload].
Since ARs tend to fight in battles against a high number of enemies, AK-15's performance ends up only being slightly above average despite her strong multipliers.
At Skill Level 10, AK-15 needs to hit 24 stacks to Overload.
The theoretical selfbuff that AK-15 gives herself is incredible, with a 40% Damage + Crit selfbuff coupled with the [Anger] passive that adds another 40% damage to every attack.
+25% Damage and +65% Accuracy are both highly appreciated stats for DPS SMGs. Placing AK-15 in position 7 lets her cover both SMGs with her aura, though it lacks the Evasion bonus that the main tank SMG would want.
The more enemies there are, the faster AK-15 overloads.
She loses a lot of DPS when overloaded, so AK-15's performance drops off in longer battles, especially against a large number of enemies.
AK-15 Mod upgrades her total skill description count from 148 words to 232 words. The online Word Counter tool puts it at 51 seconds to read the whole thing at a college-level reading ability.
Here’s the main takeaway. AK-15 Mod revolves around that new skill 2 damage skill. Basically, whenever she uses her skill 1 vs. 6+ enemies or wherever she loses a dummy link, AK-15 Mod deletes the enemy with the highest firepower stat. On top of having a decent (albeit RNG) generalist DPS skill, she now is also a priority target assassin. “AR Grape” is one nickname she gets for this.
Everything else with damage immunity and DEFY synergy are just bait to get people to make bad teams thinking AK-15 Mod can tank. She temporarily takes less damage after already taking a ton of damage. Don’t.
The ability to instantly delete an enemy on an AR is very nice. Her SPEQ is nice too, with the huge firepower and crit damage bonus with no rate of fire penalty that comes with normal Focus chips. Mod 3 her. That’s all she needs to become one of the more recommended ARs to raise and use despite the cost.
Since her skill 2 damage multiplier is so extreme and it targets highest firepower enemies, AK-15 Mod can eliminate enemies before they become a problem.
Now, AK-15 Mod has the opposite problem that she had pre-mod. If there are under 5 enemies in range, she cannot use her instant delete button without losing DPS by losing a link. But at that point she can worry less about her skill 1’s stacks overflowing too fast.
So many parts of AK-15 Mod’s skill description revolve around defense and survivability, yet her strengths lie in shooting good.
AK-15 Mod is an AR version of Grape. Well, not exactly but they fill similar roles. When there are 6 or more enemies on the field, AK-15 Mod activating her skill 1 will shoot out a non-critting sure-hit link-splashing non-AOE skillshot that ignores shields and armor at the enemy with the highest firepower. It hits even harder if she RNG’s into having anger up at that point in time. And then she gains 2 seconds of invincibility.
The former lets her delete some really dangerous enemies that other units might not be able to deal with due to positioning or taunts. The latter might be able to let her ignore enemy attacks that hit the backline.
If just one giant nuke every 8 seconds is not enough to deal with the threat, letting her lose a link activates her skill 2 as well. Since it only scales off enemy links, not her own links, the skill shot damage is unaffected if she does this. So she can do this 4 times before repairing, at the loss of her single-target DPS of course.
She can also be used as a last-ditch emergency tank. With critical damage iframes and being able to lose 4 links, AK-15 Mod could stand-in after the actual tanks have retreated to get up to 9.5 seconds of invulnerability total, with 4 retaliatory skill-shots to clean up. This is usually not recommended. AK-15 Mod does not have defensive stats since she’s an AR.
The skill portion about DEFY is not too useful because it is once again making an AR soak in the bullets, and other DEFY members do not offer enough to justify removing superior team options.
Lots of things you would rather have dead have high firepower, so raise AK-15 Mod if you like winning I guess.
