Gains a mark when she changes targets. When Doll Trigger is activated, grants all DEFY members a mark. When DEFY members attack, each mark applies an additional 10% of guaranteed damage that can also do critical damage, lasting ($duration) seconds and stacking up to 3 times. When AN-94 is present, apply the following for ($duration) seconds: When AK-12 reaches maximum rate of fire, reduce her rate of fire by 30% and increases her damage by ($dam_value)%; When AK-12 reaches maximum critical rate, reduce her critical rate by 30% and increases her critical damage by ($dam_value)%.
AN-94 is an AR with very high base stats and a very strong Skill. Her Skill is broken down into two parts, a passive which always triggers when attacking a new target and an active that has a normal uptime.
As her passive is effective from the very start of the battle, causing her to hit twice when first hitting a new target, it can be amazing for wiping out weak frontline early on, for example while farming.
Her active grants all her attacks this double hit for its duration (she cannot hit more than twice per hit, even while attacking new targets while the Skill is up).
AN-94's Skill effectively doubles her DPS and also has a passive portion that triggers before her ICD is ready.
AN-94 has well above average base stats.
As AN-94 is a double-hit AR, she effectively loses twice as much damage from Armor.
AN-94's Mod is good, but very expensive for what it actually does. The recommendation for AN-94 is to either stop at Mod I or Mod III as she gets some decent improvements just from Mod I, while her SPEQ is very good if you intend to go past that.
From Mod I, AN-94's Skill 1 gets an additional second duration, as well as improvements to her already great pre-mod base stats. This is a great stopping point and makes her quite good as both a general use AR and for farming.
From Mod II, AN-94 gets a new Skill which can be broken down into two sections:
AN-94's Mod grants her even more multi-hit, making her even better at wiping out enemies swiftly, preferably with the opportunity to attack new targets frequently.
As AN-94's Skill 2 is an additional smaller multi-hit, it will swiftly be reduced to 1 Damage against opponents with even low Armor.
The whole AK-12 synergy thing should be entirely ignored and you'll probably have a better echelon by doing so.
AN-94's Skill 2 synergy with AK-12 is based on AK-12 overcapping her stats and is split into two parts:
Upon reaching maximum RoF, AK-12 gets a 30% RoF penalty and then increases her Damage by 50%. This is very hard to make proper use of, as AK-12 is a Crit-based AR who would prefer a Focus Chip. This means her RoF will be 68 before her Skill, which grants her 35% to DMG/RoF/Acc/Crit and brings her to 91 RoF. As her RoF cap is 150 as of v3.02, this requires significant external RoF buffs, which is just not worth it.
Upon reaching maximum Crit Rate, AK-12 loses 30% Crit Rate and gains 50% Crit Damage. This is slightly more realistic than the RoF section but still requires external buffs. AK-12 has a 20% base Crit Rate and a VFL increases this to 68%. Include her Skill's 35% and you get 91%. An additional Crit Rate buff would be needed to get her past 100% to get the penalty and buff from AN-94.
All in all, this synergy is just not worth trying to use and AN-94 already has a very strong kit on her own, leaving AK-12 where she belongs - as Cores.
