CR-21 is a 4★ AR that could be described as “RFB-lite” in a sense. While they are statistically different, both possess the means to target foes in the back, though CR-21 does it through different criteria.
CR-21 has strong stats across the board with good Damage, very high Rate of Fire, and high Accuracy. Her tiles are also good but nothing amazing. Her skill, Muscle Pump, is her most defining feature though, granting her a Damage boost and changing her targeting priority to focus the highest damaging enemies. This usually will result in her targeting the back row where powerful enemies like Jaegers would be, similar to RFB.
CR-21’s main downside is in the modifier for the Damage boost on her skill. She pays the price for the unique targeting mechanics by having a Damage boost value on par with 3 star ARs like FNC. This does hinder her abilities in fights where her targeting mechanics won’t be making a difference compared to other 4/5 star ARs.
CR-21 can serve as a fill-in for RFB should you not have her, and will still be an overall good AR even if you do already have RFB. Her general statline also makes her less niche than RFB, but you would still want to pick fights where her unique targeting will shine.
CR-21 has all-around solid stats with 48 Damage, 52 Accuracy, and 81 Rate of Fire. Her Rate of Fire is one of the highest in the AR class (tied 2nd highest at time of writing, beaten only by G11) and her Accuracy is on the higher end for ARs as well. Her damage is more towards the lower end, but still perfectly workable.
CR-21’s main selling point is the unique targeting she possesses on her skill, Muscle Pump. For the duration of the skill being active, she will focus her fire on the enemy with the highest damage. This means, like RFB, she has the ability to snipe Jaegers before they become a threat in echelons they are present. In general, this targeting will mean she will focus on the most threatening enemy first regardless.
CR-21’s tiles may not be amazing, but they are still good. Her tile layout lets her choose between buffing the main tank from Position 1 or buffing the off-tank from Position 7. She can buff both tanks in a F formation, though this requires taking Position 4 which is not recommended. Her tiles come with a boost of 50% Accuracy and 12% Evasion
CR-21’s biggest weakness is the Damage boosting component of her skill. Her skill gives her a 60% Damage buff, which is on par with 3 star ARs. In fact, if you remove the unique targeting, her skill is identical to FNC. This will hinder her effectiveness in any battles where her targeting won’t be as beneficial or won’t make a difference.
