Mk23 provides an extremely specialized kit, providing nothing but Damage buffs -- which both make and break her.
Mk23 provides a pure 36% Damage buff with her tile buffs, and from her Skill provides a 20% Damage buff during Day, and a 35% Damage buff at Night. This can be a good or bad thing; while ARs appreciate Damage buffs, RFs (who possess inherently high Damage) have a hard time fully utilizing her buffs without overkilling. In addition, as she gives nothing but Damage buffs, she is lacking in many scenarios when compared to HGs that can provide buffs to a wider variety of stats.
Another factor to consider when using Mk23 is her buff tile orientation. Mk23 gives buffs to three units behind her, and as she does not buff the units next to her, she cannot be used in between the damage dealers in the back column. The primary issue with this restriction is that Mk23 has very low Evasion and therefore cannot be used as the main tank. This means that she has to be used as the Sub tank instead, so not only is she forced in a position that isn’t ideal for her, her buff tiles cannot be used to their full potential.
Overall, Mk23 is a decent Damage buffer that shows great performance even during the Day. Her buff tiles and her stats, however, may prevent her from being used to her fullest potential.
Mk23 provides a great buff to Damage with her Skill and tiles buffs. Her Damage buff is second to none, with the runner-up being Grizzly.
Mk23 provides a 35% Damage buff at Night from her Skill instead of her regular 20% Daytime Damage buff, which allows her to offer incredible utility.
Mk23’s low Evasion makes her an non-ideal choice to be used as a Main Tank, which prevents her from providing all the damage-dealers on her Echelon with her Damage buffs.
Often, Mk23’s immense Damage buffs are more than necessary for what the situation calls for, and so she ends up being replaced by another HG with more to offer.
Mk23 brings with her the most powerful Damage buffs in the game. Due to many factors, however, she struggles to use her kit as well as she potentially could..
Mk23 focuses solely on Damage, bringing a 36% Damage buff tiles, an with her Skill, a 20% Damage Daytime buff and a 35% Damage Nighttime buff. . Mk23, even during the day, provides the most powerful Damage buff from one T-Doll in the game. Due to this, she is semi-versatile -- AR+SMG Echelons appreciate her buffs throughout both Night and Day, RoF RF Echelons see some use with her, and she’s a vital part in any Bamboo (Nuke/OHKO) Echelon. Thanks to her high Damage buff at night, she can aid newer players in bursting through armored units with AR+SMG Echelons. In addition, in SG+MG Echelons, Mk23's tiles fit perfectly, and can provide a powerful Damage buff to all MGs. Due to the inherently high base Damage of RFs, however, she sees limited use in RF Echelons overall.
One factor to note while using Mk23, however, is her buff tile orientation. Her buff tiles provide buffs to one unit in front of her, and three behind her. There is merit to this orientation -- when using Mk23 in AR+SMG echelons, she can be placed in the frontline, preventing the need to replace a damage dealer with her. This, however, means that she needs to tank, and due to her low Evasion, she has a hard time maintaining her HP This makes her a poor choice for a Main tank, and as she does not buff units next to her, she must be placed as at least a Sub tank in spite of her low Evasion. This prevents her from using her buff tiles to their fullest potential, as she will be able to buff one or two damage dealers, but not all of them at once.
Mk23’s extreme specialization also can work against her. Often, her pure Damage buff is more than enough for many damage dealers to deal damage, and so Mk23 ends end up falling behind T-dolls that can provide a variety of positive qualities. Unlike Grizzly, who is still used despite her Damage Focus skill due to the fact that not many can replace her position in the Echelon, many dolls can outperform Mk23 in her position. An example is Welrod, who can provide both tanking support while buffing both Damage and RoF.
Mk23, overall, is a great Damage buffer. Although the pure Damage buff may be too much for certain echelons, she is second to none when Damage buffs are needed.
