Type: RF
Rarity: 5
Obtainable from:
Affects SMG, AR, RF, MG, SG, HG
ICD: CD:
Increases rate of fire by ($rof_value)% for ($time_value) seconds. On skill activation, grants self a stack of ($pass_value)% damage for each different classed ally present on her tile buffs up to a max of 3 stacks.
SL8 is a self-buffing generalist RF with non-standard tiles. Instead of reducing HG CDs she instead increases Damage and Evasion of all Doll types. Of course, this ends up meaning Damage for the other RF and Evasion for the HGs in most situations in a RFHG.
While her Skill grants her some bonuses for different gun types on her tiles, this should generally just be considered a bonus and trying to put in another gun type is not recommended unless you actually NEED an SMG or SG tank for whatever you are fighting. If you so happen to be using SL8 while also needing a SG tank then she just gets some minor extra bonuses.
Just by nature of a RFHG having 2 RFs and 3 HGs, SL8 already gets 2 out of 3 max extra minor buffs from her Skill and trying to shoehorn in a different gun type just to get the last bonus is going to hurt the echelon more than help it most of the time. Getting an extra 5% Damage at the cost of an additional HG that gives ~20-30% buffs from tiles and an additional ~20-30% from their Skill to both RFs is just not worth it. If you actually need an SMG or a SG to tank the enemies, SL8 gets some minor extra bonuses that should be considered that, just minor bonuses.
SL8's SPEQ adds an additional check at the start of the fight where she gains 10% RoF per gun type on her tiles, still with the cap of 3 buffs. This effect is permanent and is quite good. As with her base Skill effect, you should still not bring anything other than RFs and HGs unless you actually need an actual tank for whatever you are fighting.
SL8 performs quite decently as a generalist, on par with other similar ones like WA2000 and Lee.
Her SPEQ gives her at least 20% RoF permanently for the entire fight.
This is quite nice as well.
If you need CDR for your HGs, then SL8 is not the RF of choice.
No, you shouldn't use a mixed echelon just because SL8 buffs other things than RFs or gets very minor extra bonuses from her Skill.
As SL8's SPEQ adds a permanent buff, this is obviously susceptible to enemy cleansing from for example Quills.
The extra minor buffs to Damage and RoF from different gun types are additive with eachother, meaning having 3 full stacks is only 15% and 30% instead of ~15.8% and 33.1%.
