Overview
Hecate is a SMG that supposedly does things.
Hecate gains permanent buffs as enemies die, and then gets more temporary buffs as she has more of the permanent buffs during her Skill. Most of these buffs aren’t that impressive, with the defensive effects being fine but nothing amazing and the offensive ones not overcoming the SMG issue of having absolutely terrible Accuracy.
Added to this issue is that her SPEQ reduces her Crit Damage while her Skill gives her guaranteed Crits. If you want an SMG DPS for some reason, SR-3MP with her Set is far better than Hecate (ignoring the issue of Accuracy with Surehit), and proper ARs and RFs are far better than Hecate otherwise. If you want a defensive SMG (that also deals a lot of damage to high HP enemies), Suomi Mod is way better than anything Hecate can hope to achieve.
Adding to this issue, her guaranteed Crits don’t actually work. They are implemented the same way MG5’s are, but instead of having a 1.5x multiplier she has a 1x multiplier (ie, no damage increase at all).
As such, Hecate is not recommended for use.
Full analysis
Her Damage reduction effect from 3 stacks can stack over time, but obviously this takes well over a minute to reach close to what Suomi Mod gets on every Skill activation. Absolutely not worth it.
Hecate’s “Surecrit” is supposed to scale with her Crit Damage but is not an actual Crit. As such, it will not proc Px4’s Mod2 Skill or similar effects. It also doesn’t currently work, having 1x multiplier.
