Overview

Kord's Skill is a simple toggle type Skill, having two modes. The default is Pierce, where she will Pierce all enemies in the direction of her target, at the cost of a Damage and AP penalty. The other is Assault, where she increases her Damage and Accuracy by 20%. Due to this being a toggle type Skill, this means that Kord can start doing her thing (piercing enemies to oblivion) immediately at the start of battle.

Kord's Damage is high for an MG and her Accuracy is absolutely terrible, so bringing her against enemies with high Evasion is not recommended.

The primary reason to use Kord is her Pierce mode, so we'll be mostly covering this.

Against tightly packed enemies with low Evasion, this can be a great tool for wiping them all out swiftly.

Which takes us to the penalties for Pierce mode, -30% Damage and -50% AP. The Damage penalty is made up for by just hitting lots of enemies at once, and with the addition of SLAP Ammo, the AP penalty is only really felt against very heavily Armored enemies, such as Maccabees and Hydras.

Pros

Piercing Attacks

Kord can pierce enemies with her default toggle mode, which is great for dealing damage to lots of enemies at once.

Very High Damage Stat

Kord has a very high Damage stat for an MG at 109.

Cons

Terrible Accuracy

Kord only has 22 Accuracy. This is extremely low, even for an MG.

Lowers AP and Damage in Pierce Mode

This means you will usually have to equip Kord with one AP type higher than other Dolls, often needing to go straight to SLAP.

Not Forced Manual by Default

Unlike most Dolls with toggle type Skills, Kord doesn’t come with hers on Forced Manual by default. This should immediately be remedied.

Full analysis

Kord's pierce hitboxes overlap, meaning she is far less prone to whiffing enemies due to hitbox issues.

If you need to use Kord against enemies with Evasion or at Night, at least some consideration towards Nova and her 80 flat Accuracy buff should be had.
