M37 is a solid SG, able to both provide a great buff to MGs and tank well to boot.
M37 has average stats, with a slightly above average Armor that is supplemented by average HP. Overall, her tanking capabilities are just average, but as she’s a SG, average is already more than enough for most enemies.
M37’s tile buffs are where she truly shines -- she provides a 18% Damage buff to MGs, second to only KSG’s 20% Damage buff. She has the same problem as KSG, however, in that she only buffs two MGs, but this is far from being a dealbreaking issue. Another reason to use M37 is her Skill -- while it won’t activate most of the time, when it does it provides a solid addition to the team’s DPS. Overall, this makes M37 a great choice of SG, assuming KSG isn’t currently available.
M37 has above average Armor and around average HP. This makes her overall tanking capabilities average, if not slightly above average.
M37 provides an 18% Damage tile buff, one of the best provided by an SG.
M37 has a skill that both deals 2.5 times her Damage and deals 3 tiles of knockback against 3 enemies, which serves well to KO high Evasion enemies such as scouts that MGs have trouble with.
Like KSG, M37 does not buff the MG directly behind her, only buffing a total of 2 MGs.
M37 fulfills the main role of a Shotgun well, both in tanking and buffing MGs. While her performance isn’t mindblowing, it doesn’t need to be -- she does her job, and that’s all that matters.
M37’s actual tanking capabilities when compared to other SGs, are average; maybe slightly above average at best. Her only stat that is above average is her Armor, and even then, the different between her and most SGs is slight. Since her class, however, is better at tanking than any other class due to their Armor anyways, as a tank M37 performs well.
The most important aspect to M37 is her tile buff, which is an 18% Damage buff. Currently, this buff is only second to KSG’s, which is a 20% Damage buff. Also just like KSG, M37 only buffs two MGs in the back row as opposed to three -- though this may be seen as a strike against her, she still offers a good deal to an Echelon.
In addition to her tile buff being powerful, the orientation of her tile buff allows for M37 to be used by herself in a SG+MG Echelon. Other SGs, such as M500, have a buff orientation that makes it inefficient for them to be used by themselves -- M37, though, buffs from the center of the formation which allows her to act as the singular tank. This allows for another MG or HG to be used when employing M37, which means that the DPS of her Echelon will be higher than a 2SG Echelon.
A final thing to note about M37 is her Skill. At max level, her Skill does 2.5 times her Damage and deals 3 tiles of knockback. Although most of the time, this skill won’t see use due to the 8 second initial cooldown and the fact that most battles involving SG+MG Echelons are over in 5-6 seconds, whenever it does see use, it adds to the overall damage dealt by M37 by a decent amount. Moreover, M37’s high Damage means that her Skill’s damage output will be boosted when compared to other SGs. In addition, as it cannot miss, so when used against high Evasion enemies that MGs perform poorly against, this Skill really shines.
In summary, M37 is a solid choice to use in an SG+MG Echelon due to both her great tanking capabilities and solid tile buffs. If seeking an SG, M37 should definitely be a top consideration.
