When "Damage Focus T" is active, apply Mark of Vengeance to the current target. In addition, once 3 or less allies are on the field, reduces self rate of fire by 70% and regular attacks do ($damage_value)% damage, with an additional 100% splash damage to all targets within 2.5 units. This splash damage also applies Mark of Vengeance. ("Damage Focus T" is still in effect during this time).
M4A1 is given for free through Main Quest after clearing chapter 2-6. She is quite strong even pre-mod and is highly recommended to be used in your first ARSMG.
She both has a good self-buff to Damage as well as very good tiles helping your other two ARs kill things faster.
M4A1's tiles are very strong, providing 18% Damage and 30% Crit Rate to other ARs.
Her Skill is also quite strong, having a decent uptime of 10/16, a low ICD of only 4 seconds and 70% increased Damage.
M4A1's Mod is one of the strongest mods in the game, as it opens up so much potential with the Cannon Mode. Her Skill 2 makes it so that when her Skill 1 is activated while 3 or less Dolls are on the field, she will pull out her Cannon and start blasting, dealing massively increased damage with an AoE at the cost of RoF.
The main thing to note with this is that using M4A1 in an Exodia comp dedicated to her Cannon Mode has much higher skill requirements than most normal echelons. You need to activate HG Skills before retreating them, and only then activating M4's Skill to let her start blasting. As such, using her for this purpose will require some decent kiting knowledge, for which you should see the Kiting Basics page to learn more.
For farming, this obviously requires no more than 3 Dolls in the echelon to be AFKable, but any farming recommendations you see using M4A1 should already have taken this into account.
M4A1 can also obviously still be used in a normal ARSMG, as her tiles and Skill 1 both got some minor buffs from her Mod.
With a dedicated team to support her, M4A1's Cannon Mode can obliterate enemy formations in the blink of an eye.
M4A1's Mod 3 SPEQ grants +15 DMG, 20 RoF and +15 Armor. This is extremely strong, basically a chip with Armor instead of a Crit Damage penalty. The Armor is also nice for reducing any chip damage she might receive, such as in farm comps.
M4A1 in a full Exodia comp is very hard to use compared to normal echelons.
M4A1 Mod's Cannon Mode is not a normal Damage buff, but rather a Damage multiplier on her hits. As such attempting to copy stats from her will not work as expected.

If you are using M4A1 in a regular ARSMG, and you are also intending to use SOPMOD Mod with her, be aware that SOPMOD's Skill 2 grenades will target M4's current target. This is an anti-synergy and is negative in almost all situations.
