Overview

The leader of G&K’s Power Ranger corps is finally here! PM-06 is a unique little 5★ SMG, being the only SMG (at time of writing) to have a skill focused towards night battles.

The skill itself, Concealment Focus N, is pretty straightforward and simple, granting PM-06 with an Evasion and Accuracy boost that’s far stronger in night battles. This is supported by a low Initial Cooldown and good uptime. Thanks to this skill, her good base stats, and her strong tiles, PM-06 serves as a solid choice for a Main Tank SMG for any team that’s fighting in the dark.

Her performance in the day however leaves a lot to be desired. During the daytime, her skill bonuses are too severely reduced for her to compare favourably to other strong SMG choices such as RO635 and C-MS. Newer commanders should focus their resources on raising SMGs who perform well in both day and night before they consider raising PM-06.

PM-06 will shine in nighttime warfare against general enemy echelons. Night boss battles would still be better handled by the likes of MP7 who, despite the longer initial cooldown, still has a larger evasion boost and shorter downtime. Given many SMGs already perform well at night regardless, one will need to consider if an SMG specialised solely for night is worth their time and resources. If your answer is yes, PM-06 will not let you down.

Pros

Good Base Stats

PM-06 comes with 190 HP per link and 75 Evasion. While neither of these are extremely high values for SMGs, they are still good and help to supplement her nighttime effectiveness.

Great Night Skill

PM-06’s main bread and butter is Concealment Focus N. This skill boosts her Evasion by 150% and Accuracy by 80% at Night. While the Accuracy side of the skill is pretty much negligible, the huge Evasion boost is what helps PM-06 to be a strong Main Tank SMG for Night battles. This is further supported by a low 4s ICD and good 10 second uptime.

Strong Tiles

PM-06’s tile layout is perfect for night ARSMG teams where the HG is placed in Position 4. She buffs for 12% Damage and 35% Accuracy, two beneficial bonuses that ARs will enjoy at night.

Cons

Lacking Day Performance

In the daytime, PM-06’s skill will only buff her for 50% Evasion and 40% Accuracy. This huge reduction in effectiveness kills any potential she might have had for day battles and will be outclassed by many other Main Tank SMGs.
