When Crimson Echoes is active, apply "Echo" to units on buff tiles. [Echo]: Increases assault rifles damage and accuracy by ($dam_acc_value)%, Increases submachine guns evasion and reduces incoming damage by ($eva_dam_value)%, max 3 stacks. Units with Echo will spread the effect to adjacent units after 2 seconds of receiving it. Echo lasts for 6 seconds and cannot trigger additional effects.
The craftable four-star French AR Ribeyrolles is one of the very few privileged ARs that provide buffs to her backline AR teammates. Featuring a strong 20% Damage tile buff and a Skill that will boost the backline’s damage output by over 55%, Ribeyrolles is an easy choice for the core of many AR Echelons — though she falls short in comparison against M4A1 (her closest comparable), she is still a very prominent tile 4 pick.
Ribeyrolles’ paling performance can be attributed to her own mediocre DPS because of her low RoF and inability to boost her own damage output through her Skill, as well as her long Cooldown that makes Ribey ineffective against late-game enemy compositions. Overall, while not as infallible as M4A1, Ribeyrolles is a very clear and solid second choice when it comes to tile 4 ARs.
Ribeyrolles provides a 20% Damage buff to adjacent ARs through her tile buffs, which is an extremely rare ability that cements her as a core member of AR Echelons.
Ribeyrolles is able to further boost the backline’s damage output to absurd levels through her Skill. It also affects anyone standing above or below Ribeyrolles in battle, regardless of class, further boosting her versatility.
An inability to apply her Skill buff to herself combined with her low RoF tanks Ribeyrolles’ DPS by a considerable amount.
Ribeyrolles’ 6 second Cooldown means her Skill will take a lengthy time to activate and provide the squad with her signature huge damage output boost. This weakness is made quite apparent against late enemy squads which start very close and can put a serious dent on allied tanks from the get-go, thus making early damage much more valuable than late damage.
Ribeyrolles can now spread her disease to her allies. Nice of her to share. Her mod still does not completely fix the issues with her base stats, but it’s certainly an improvement. Her tiles and skill 1 multipliers are improved to the level of a 5-star handgun.
Her skill 2 spreads an “echo” to the teammates she buffs, then all adjacent units every 2 seconds after that. The echo massively boosts the damage output of ARs and the survivability of SMGs, stacking up to 3 times and lasting 6 seconds. Make sure that every unit is adjacent to another to maximize her buffs. Because of this, Ribeyrolles Mod now buffs her own DPS so her individual performance is not quite as awful.
With her mod, Ribeyrolles is now much better than most options for a position 4 unit on an ARSMG due to the mix of good buffs she can offer and is an incredibly strong investment.
While Ribeyrolles Mod an incredibly strong staple in ARSMG teams, stopping at mod 2 is fine. Her special equipment is not important.
Ribeyrolles Mod now offers a maximum of 73% firepower, 73% accuracy, and 30% rate of fire to ARs.
30% firepower buff, 30% accuracy buff, 30% rate of fire, 52% evasion, and 52% damage resistance to SMGs.
While conditional, these two are extremely big DPS and survivability increases in the right conditions.
Ribeyrolles Mod has no limit to the number of times her echo bounces. As long as there exist at least 2 adjacent units on the field, her echo will bounce forever.
Neural upgrade did not change the duration of Ribeyrolles Mod’s skill 1, so her skill still only lasts 5 seconds, performance dropping off sharply.
Although improved, Ribeyrolles Mod’s 68 base rate of fire still sucks relative to other ARs, so her DPS still lags behind.
Ribey Mod’s skill 2 takes extremely long to proliferate. 2 seconds for each reflect means every team member having at least 1 stack takes at least 4 seconds.
Ribey Mod’s skill 2 does not give buffs to any other unit besides ARs and SMGs, even when echoing off them. So she is relatively stuck with them.
Ribey Mod not only requires her allies to stand on her tiles to apply her skill 1, but requires her allies to be standing adjacent to each other to maximize echo reflections, making the team position far more rigid if maximizing her skill 2.
Notes:
Due to the limited duration of an echo stack, the number of echo stacks a T-doll can have relies heavily on how many units are adjacent to them.
Basically, a unit with 1 other adjacent unit alternates between 1 and 2 stacks every 2 seconds. 2 adjacent alternates between 2 and 3 stacks every 2 seconds. 3 adjacent stays at 3 stacks permanently. This cycle starts within 4 seconds of the first echo being received.
It is physically impossible to get 3 stacks on only 5 units at all times. F formation has 1 adjacent to position 1, 3 adjacent to position 4, and 2 adjacent to the rest. B formation is the same except it’s position 7 that’s left out. C formation gives the backline 2 adjacent and both frontline units only get 1 adjacent unit. Cross formation gives one unit 3 stacks and everyone else only has 1 adjacent.
This is unfortunate, because it means at least one DPS always misses out on the optimal number of stacks. Moving Ribeyrolles Mod to the blank space means she no longer gives her skill 1 buff to both DPSes. C formation is the best for DPS, Q and D formation are best for survival.
Due to the slow spreading nature of Ribeyrolles’ skill 2 means she is not just a burst DPS buffer. A good portion of her buff is tied in the skill 2 echoes, which take around 4 seconds after using her skill 1 to fully kick in. It’s only after the second skill activation onwards that she provides her maximum buffs. She is actually quite fine even for longer duration fights, prefers them even. More fighting time gives her more time to spread her echoes.
For optimal DPS and on the assumption that Ribeyrolles is Mod 3 instead of Mod 2 for some reason, Ribeyrolles does actually prefer her special equipment over the VFL. Her preferred body slot is the #2 processing chip because her base rate of fire is so bad.
