[Passive]: When there are 2 or more SMGs in the echelon, grants a +($hp_value) HP shield to the echelon at battle start and reduce initial skill cooldown by 15%. [Active]: Reduce the damage stat of enemies within an area of 6 units ahead by ($debuff_value), lasting for ($duration) seconds.
SP9 (A.K.A. Mona) is a pretty cool support SMG. Her tiles want her sitting on position 2 on an ARSMG. Her tiles are funny since they debuff rate of fire, but are usually useful enough, and give extra evasion to the other SMG.
If her simple requirement of 1 other SMG is met, her passive gives the whole team one permanent 50 HP-shield, absorbing early chip damage that tries to sneak at the start of the fight. Her initial cooldown reduction also massively helps out the rest of the team. With earlier used skills across the board, teams can take far less damage.
For her active, SP9 marks a 6-unit-wide rectangle that covers the entire vertical column for 8 seconds. While standing in that area, enemies lose a flat 20 firepower. This lets SP9 protect the other SMG from chip damage from random melee-range mob-enemies and AoE. It also synergizes with units that use debuffs.
So SP9 is very useful.
The zone SP9 spawns with her active lowers enemies’ damage by 20 points. If the enemy originally had 20 firepower or less, they deal a minimum of 1 damage. If the attack ignores armor, it can reduce the damage to 0 instead due to how armor calculations work. This screws over weaker enemies and acts kind of similar to armor. But for SMGs I guess. But it also works on evasion/armor-ignoring attacks.
Almost everyone likes a faster initial skill cooldown. Faster grenades. Faster firepower/rof/evasion buffs. Faster knockback. Faster forceshields. Fast fast fast.
50 points of HP shield with unlimited duration from the start of the fight prevents your tanks’ healthbars getting sniped from the fight start before they get to defend, and absorbs AoE that could hit the backline. Synergizes with G36c Mod by preventing her from killing herself.
SP9’s tiles buff both ARs and SMGs. Her tileshape makes it so she can easily reach the other SMG on the team to give evasion.
Interestingly, SP9 has one of the first negative tilebuffs in the game. And the second with 3 separate stats changed. Although not a significant change, losing 5% RoF is still not helpful.
SP9 is one of the few Dolls that can almost entirely negate damage against Doppelsöldners and Hymnal Organs, which have very low Damage stats, but their skills massively inflate said Damage. By reducing their Damage to single digits, there's nothing left for them to multiply off.
