Overview
ST AR-15 is an RoF self-buffing AR, given for free from Main Quests after clearing chapter 3-6. She is an excellent starting AR with unusual equipment slots; having 2 scopes and 1 ammo slot instead of the usual 1 of each type.
She is highly recommended to be used in the first ARSMG, as noted in the Teambuilding Basics page.
Pros
Good DPS For AR
ST AR-15's overall stats and strong Skill make her an excellent choice for a standard ARSMG.
High Uptime
ST AR-15 has a 15/16 seconds uptime, meaning her Skill is almost always active in combat.
Low ICD
An ICD of only 4 seconds is quite good.
Crit Scopes at Night
As she has two scope slots, ST AR-15 is an excellent AR for Night, allowing her to keep a crit scope together with a PEQ.
Cons
Cannot Equip Chips
With consideration to maxed equipment: Without her Night Chapter SPEQ, ST AR-15 will have much lower Damage than other ARs, making her more susceptible to Armor. Similarly, she cannot equip a Focus Chip so she doesn't benefit as much from her extra Crit Rate.
Cannot Utilize Other RoF Buffs
At max Skill Levels, ST AR-15 almost caps her own RoF with her self-buff, meaning that RoF tiles or other buffs will not give her much of a benefit, if any.
Mod review
Overview
ST AR-15's Mod comes with a few benefits:
Her Skill 1 gains 5% extra RoF, pushing her up an RoF bracket at level 109. This is also true with her Night SPEQ.
Her Skill 2 is an extra hit of 10% Damage, which can Miss, Crit and is affected by Armor like a normal attack. This makes her slightly more effective against linked targets as link protection will be less of an issue.
Her tiles also gain a small increase.
Her Mod III SPEQ gives 15 Damage and 30% Crit Damage plus some Accuracy, quite nice.
Pros
Multi-Hit
Against Orthrus or other enemies that set incoming damage against their HP Shields to 1, this can be quite useful.
Increased RoF Cap
With client v3.02, ST AR-15 Mod's RoF cap was increased to 150, making her able to benefit from RoF tiles.
Cons
Armored Enemies
As ST AR-15 is an RoF self-buffer with a multi-hit Skill 2, she is quite susceptible to enemy Armor.
