Overview
Thompson is a Force Shield SMG, becoming fully immune to damage for a short duration with her Skill.
While Force Shield SMGs can be very powerful in the right situation (which are almost exclusively in Ranking), they also have two notable issues:
- A long ICD of 8 seconds. Enemies will reach you much earlier than this.
- Extremely low uptime. Force Shielders can be relied upon to prevent high burst damage over a short duration, but after this they have no defensive options for a very long time.
Thompson's SPEQset makes the first issue less of a problem, but does not absolutely nothing else. She is not a DPS, and G36c/MP5 are still miles ahead of Thompson.
As such, Thompson is not recommended.
