Overview
A doll that looks like they could pretty much be Lee-Enfield’s daughter, Webley is a 5★ HG obtainable as a clear reward in Polarized Light. She continues the trend of excellent 5 star event HGs and is very much worth your time.
What makes Webley unique is her skill, Linked Order, that changes effects based on where she’s positioned in the echelon line-up. If she’s the team leader, her skill is a simple Damage boost and makes her practically on par with Grizzly in terms of effects. Her unique aspect definitely comes from being a regular team member though, where her skill will now only buff the team leader, but will buff for both Damage and Rate of Fire and will even reduce their skill cooldown.
With certain dolls, Webley as a team member can be absolutely devastating. The reduced skill CD in particular can be amazing, resulting in little downtime between skill uses for dolls like M4A1 MOD for example. While this may seem like a thing to only use in ‘Exodia’ compositions at first, the amount she buffs one DPS will often make up for her not buffing the other DPS. She’s also a standout option for low cost teams, given these teams will typically only have a single damage dealer anyway, though do remember that she would need ammo to use her skill.
At worst, Webley is a different flavour of Grizzly. Hardly a bad thing, considering Grizzly has always been a strong and versatile HG. In the right teams though, a Webley teammate can be a huge game changer and can push dolls to their damage dealing limits.
Webley’s skill has two types of bonuses it can give, based on where in the echelon she is. As the team leader, she will give everyone a 25% Damage bonus for 8 seconds. This is exactly the same as Grizzly’s skill and will make Webley a versatile support for any echelon.
As a team member however, she will boost the team leader for 22% Damage and 22% Rate of Fire, on top of reducing their current skill cooldown by 25%. With certain dolls such as M4A1 MOD and Hanyang MOD, these boosts extremely elevate their capabilities. Using M4A1 as the example, Webley will activate her skill 2 seconds after M4A1 activates hers, resulting in a 4 second cooldown reduction and giving M4A1 a downtime of a mere 2 seconds. Given Webley’s own 12 second cooldown, this outlined skill routine will infinitely repeat unless there is some movement time offsetting their timing.
