Overview
XM556 is a single-target specialist MG. Although she can deal some impressive damage when she doesn’t change targets, her damage is much less impressive when she changes targets more frequently, which happens in most fights that aren’t straight up boss fights. Her Skill somewhat mitigates this by making her prioritize the highest HP targets, but she will still lose all stacks when the target dies, limiting her general usefulness. Boss fights are the types of fights where this type of skill would shine, but at the same time, many bosses are also not friendly to MGs and SGs.
As such, XM556 is a very niche MG, and should not be used for general content.

- XM556 should wear an Ammo Box.
- XM556's passive grants a shield to allies in the vertical column directly in front of her (i.e., tiles 2/5/8 if she's in the backline) when she finishes reloading. This part of her skill can largely be ignored since it usually won't reach SGs and won't trigger until ~19s or later. Yes, "column" in the official skill description actually means "column" this time around.
- XM556's Skill has a 12s CD and lasts for 8s. With the max 30% CD reduction from tiles (ex: SPAS-15) and manually applying extra CD reduction from skills (ex: Webley), she can have 100% uptime and gain the +8 Damage until it caps at 999 stacks. While this results in extremely high and funny damage in target practice, it is obviously not as practical for real fights, where stacks will fall off as enemies die.
