Overview
Zas M21 attempts to be an early grenadier.
While it may seem like an early grenade should be useful, the actual damage on Zas M21’s grenade is actually lower than just about any SMG Incendiary Grenade’s initial impact (and these continue dealing damage over time for a few seconds after as well). Although it has a slightly larger AoE, this does not help the problems of terrible multipliers.
The rest of Zas M21’s kit applies Vulnerability if she hits multiple enemies or a self-buff if she hits few. This ends up not adding up to much:
- The self-buff is simply too small (low multiplier, low uptime), and other actually usable grenadiers (416, K11) almost have the same single-target DPS as Zas M21.
- The Vulnerability is also small, and you’d better hope those enemies are already almost dead if you’re using a grenadier on them, so you shouldn’t get much use out of it. If they aren’t already almost dead, perhaps you should use a grenadier that just outright kills her enemies instead of Zas M21.
All in all, Zas M21 is simply not very good, and is not recommended for use.
